If our pricing makes sense for your situation, the coordinator walks you through next steps. If it doesn’t — maybe the procedure is one we can’t coordinate, or the timing doesn’t work — they will tell you honestly. We would rather lose a booking than waste your time.

Where to Meet Us

CBX Pet Care operates two fixed meeting points in South San Diego County. Both are easy to access from major freeways, open early, and have free parking.

If you have a large dog, multiple pets, or mobility limitations, ask about door-to-door service. We pick up from your home and return your pet the same day. Pricing by location, included in your estimate.

What to Have Ready When You Contact Us

You do not need paperwork to get an estimate — just tell us what is going on. That said, if you have any of the following, sharing them helps our coordinators give you a more precise price faster:

• Your vet’s diagnosis or recommendation — even a verbal summary of what they told you
• Any cost quotes you’ve already received — we compare directly, side by side
• Recent bloodwork or lab results — for surgery or chemotherapy cases, existing labs help the clinic prepare
• Your pet’s age, weight, and breed — affects dosing and procedure planning
• Vaccination records — especially rabies for dogs (required for the border crossing)
• Microchip number — if your dog already has one; if not, the clinic can place one during the appointment

None of this is required upfront. Share what you have. Our coordinator fills in the gaps.

How soon will I hear back?

Within two hours during business hours (7 AM – 6 PM, seven days a week). Urgent cases — those flagged “Within 48 Hours” on the form — are treated as priority and responded to within the hour when possible. If you need an immediate answer, call or text 619-914-2990 directly.

Is the estimate really free with no strings attached?

Yes. There is no charge for an estimate and no obligation to book. We do not follow up aggressively. If you ask for an estimate and decide to go another direction, that is completely fine. Many clients request estimates simply to understand their options and make an informed decision with their regular vet.

What if my pet needs care urgently and I can’t wait two hours?

Call 619-914-2990 directly. Text messages work too. For genuine medical emergencies — your pet is in acute distress — go to your nearest emergency veterinary hospital first to stabilize them. Once they are stable, contact us about coordinating follow-up care, surgery, or ongoing treatment.

Can I send records before we talk?

How do I know the $50 deposit is safe?

The deposit is $50, applied fully toward your invoice when the appointment is completed. It is non-refundable if you cancel, which keeps our scheduling running reliably. It is only collected after you have reviewed the full estimate and decided to proceed. You are never charged anything before seeing the price.

What if the procedure takes longer than expected?

Your coordinator monitors your pet’s appointment throughout the day. If the procedure runs longer than the standard 1–4 PM pickup window, you are notified by text or phone. Extended procedures sometimes require additional monitoring time after anesthesia — your pet’s stability comes before the schedule.
